What Makes it Extraordinary:

Community-Driven Quality: Smallholder farmers carefully handpicked each coffee cherry and processed it with precision at cooperative wet mills. Stringent quality controls guide the coffee's journey from farm to mill, ensuring exceptional traceability and consistency.

Iconic Varietals: Featuring SL-28, SL-34, and Ruiru-11 cultivars, this blend pays homage to Kenya’s resilient coffee history. SL-28 and SL-34, developed in the 1930s for drought resistance and cup quality, deliver bold, rich flavors. The Ruiru-11 variety, introduced after the 1968 coffee berry disease epidemic, adds CBD resistance and adaptability, enriching the blend’s character.

Traditional Processing: Using the washed process, the coffee cherries are meticulously de-pulped, fully fermented, and washed, with high-density beans left to sun-dry on raised beds. This method brings out the bright acidity and nuanced flavors that Kenyan coffee is celebrated for.
